Meanderings of a Catholic Devout

A Quick Link of Religious Intolerance in a Time of “Tolerance”

This is a link that I found from another blog.  It is from Bishop Peter Ingham of the Diocese of Wollongong (Australia) about the lack of tolerance for the religious in modern day.

  1. I very much agreed with Bishop Ingham’s reasons of why religious freedom is so important. I’m not a religious person, but I stand firmly in defense of any and all free thought and beliefs. I think it is the only way to keep growing and moving forward as a society.

  2. The “religion” of secularism is constantly pushing it’s own standards and influence on our own citizens in the United States. . . it is, in my opinion, the most harmful to our First Amendment rights because it disguises itself as “impartial”. But it isn’t really impartial at all, is it? It is intolerant.

  3. I have to agree with you, and I also have to admit that I personally have been guilty of this before. But I’d like to think I learned a bit from the Bishop’s speech.
