All That I Have Written Is Straw. . .

Meanderings of a Catholic Devout

The Draft Begins

leave a comment »

After almost a week, I am ready to finish reading the petition questions and begin to answer the first three to five questions.  I have decided that I will do no more than that per week until it’s done.  I prayed my first Chaplet to the Virtues of the Holy Spirit today at a conference for Catholic women.  That is when I decided I was ready to begin.

Faith, Hope, Love, Humility, Patience, Perseverance, and Obedience.

I noted patience.  Patience in getting this done and remaining steadfast in my endeavor to finish it.  Not rushing it.  As a Catholic woman, this past year has been all about humility, from renewing the fervor of my faith to graciously dealing with divorce in complete awe that God has been merciful.  And I need to work on obedience, i.e., listening for what God’s will is and accepting it—fiat!

When a trivial obstacle is put in my life in one hand, Christ puts mercy in the other.

Pray for me.  (Your prayers are working!)

Prayer of the Holy Spirit

Come Holy Spirit, enlighten my heart to see the things which are of God;

Come Holy Spirit, into my mind, that I may know the things that are of God;

Come Holy Spirit, into my soul, that I belong only to God;

Sanctify all that I think, say and do, that all will be for the glory of God.

Amen.
